Eric Barrett Winter (born July 17, 1976)

Biography

Eric Winter started his entertainment career as a model, landing high-profile campaigns for Tommy Hilfiger and appearing opposite Britney Spears in the campaign for her perfume, Curious. Winter is still best known for the role of Rex Brady on the soap opera Days of Our Lives. He joined the show on 8 July 2002 and made his last appearance on July 26, 2005. After leaving Days of Our Lives, Winter has had many small roles on TV: CSI, Love Inc., and Just Legal. He also made a few appearances in Family’s Wildfire for five episodes. His role was R.J. Blake, a character who was going out with Dani Davis (played by Nicole Tubiola) and was killed in the episode “Heartless”. He played the role of Jason McCallister, the brother of Senator Robert McCallister (Rob Lowe) and boyfriend Kevin Walker (Matthew Rhys) on the ABC series, Brothers & Sisters. He was also a regular in the series Viva Laughlin although the show was canceled after only two episodes in 2007. He also appeared in Moonlight in the role of Benhamin Talbot.
He recently had a recurring role on the CBS hit crime drama, “The Mentalist,” as FBI Agent Craig O’Laughlin, and ABC’s “GCB” playing “Luke,” Kristin Chenoweth’s brother and Leslie Bibb’s love interest. Winter also starred opposite Alyssa Milano in Lifetime’s television movie, “Sundays at Tiffany’s.” Winter’s work on the big screen includes a co-starring role in the cult comedy “Harold and Kumar: Escape From Guantanamo Bay.” He also starred in New Line’s romantic comedy, “The Ugly Truth,” opposite Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler, and can be seen in the upcoming action feature, “Fire With Fire,” alongside Josh Duhamel, Rosario Dawson and Bruce Willis.

In addition to modeling and acting, Winter is a television and film producer. He also works with charities such as Operation Smile and has helped launch the successful activewear line called Body Language Sportswear, which has been seen on stars such as Eva Longoria and cast members on “Dancing With The Stars.”

 

 

Personal life

Eric Winter has a degree in psychology at UCLA. He was married to actress Allison Ford from 2001 to 2005. Since November 2008 he is married to actress Roselyn Sánchez. It is said that the couple is engaged during a holiday on the island of Visques after being together for two years. In August 2011, the couple announced that expecting their first child together. On 4 January 2012, Sánchez and Winter have welcomed Sebella Winters.

Trivia

Eric Winter was married to actress Allison Christine Ford from 2001 until 2005. He dated actress Roselyn Sánchez for two years prior to their engagement on January 1, 2008 during a holiday vacation on the island of Vieques, just east of mainland Puerto Rico. The couple wed on November 29, 2008, at a historic San Juan fort in Puerto Rico. In August 2011, Sánchez announced she and Winter were expecting their first child together. On January 4 2012, Sánchez and Winter welcomed daughter Sebella Rose Winter.

As of 2006, Eric lives in Los Angeles, California.

Eric has been in advertisements for companies such as Iceberg, Gillette razors, Sky Vodka, Men’s Italian Vogue, Diesel Clothing and Tommy Hilfiger (with Rebecca Romijn). He has also appeared in television commercials for 7UP and Mitsubishi and had a starring role in the commercial for Britney Spears’ “Curious” perfume.
